About me…

My name is Justina. I am mother of 3 kids, I am a nature – lover and a passionate yarnie.

The creativity had always had a special place in my life. It helped me to overcome some difficulties, to achieve goals and to bloom in different directions.

I was born in Poland, where I have spent first fifteen years of my life. We left with my mother just before the end of communism. In Germany, I have studied Illustration and Graphic Arts. I have lived several years in Portugal, and now, it has been nine years, since Spain has become my home.
From all these places I carry a luggage of different experiences that taught me how to feel a profound optimism toward life and to believe that where there is a will, there is a way. Knowledge does not take up any space.

I have learned to knit thirty years ago, in my home country, but I came back to it four years ago when I was expecting my first daughter. I have rediscovered this craft, that for me, has turned up into a real passion.

Since 2017 I share my love of knitting and slow life in my blog.

Amongst other things, I dye my own fibres which allows me to create some unique and unrepeatable pieces, and this is what I want to share with you today: my fascination for colours and its beauty.

I choose all the bases very carefully. I experiment a lot with them and knit them personally to make sure that they are of the highest quality. The yarns are from South America and Europe and they are guaranteed mulesing free, with humane treatment of sheep herds and respectful of the rights of employees.

My yarns are dyed in small batches which assures that every hank that goes through my hands gets all the care and attention needed.

I use a no toxic acid dyes and a food grade citric acid. It helps the dye to absorb into the fibres. I make sure that all the dye is exhausted from my dye pots, it allows me to reuse the water and to diminish the impact to the environment.

Every hank is rewashed in order to remove the eventual remaining of the dye and acid, and so what you get is the final perfect softest result.

I hope that you will find something that you like in my virtual space!
